Max Webster? Who’s he? Strange name for a band… but it wasn’t for Canadian rock fans,
who knew the prog/hard/pop band for the tight writing relationship between lyricist Pye Dubois
and guitarist-singer-rocker extraordinaire Kim Mitchell. Tight friends of Rush, they blazed a trail
across the Canuck rock landscape with a string of hits including Paradise Skies and
Let Go the Line. Mitchell would go on to international success with Go For Soda, but the
foundation had been built on those Sarnia-to-infinity Canadian tours, when Mitchell
and his retinue kept rock fans believing in Diamonds, Diamonds.
